Relax and ROLL with ME

If you’re like me and have various aches and pains (or just feel really stiff), you might think:

”I have to do this for my ankle or that for my knee…”

“Maybe my hip and back need this, or my shoulder needs that.” 

 

🛑 STOP!!! The reality is most folks gloss over or totally skip the basics when it comes to moving and feeling better. AND we need these foundational movements to create better motion and mobility for ourselves to help us do what we want to do and love every day.

 

As we age, we all have our own movement constraints or limitations that become increasingly apparent… for various reasons. 

 

💡But remember this…the REASONS DON’T MATTER. The best thing we can do is let go of all that judgment because it’s just holding us back. We are here NOW, and that’s all that matters. Let’s help ourselves move and feel better:)

 

So, what I have for you today is a movement practice. One that gives our brain and body a feeling of SAFETY. Because when we feel safe… we can let our guard down so our bodies and brains can just RELAX.

Here’s what you’re gonna need:

-Quiet/Clear/Comfortable space (as free of distractions as possible.)

-Foam Roller

Here’s what you’re gonna do as demonstrated:

-Place the foam roller ON TOP of your BOTTOM SIDE PELVIS comfortably 

🔑Roll forward until you feel some weight on the roller and emphasize the BOTTOM OUTSIDE KNEE CONTACT and BASE of your BOTTOM WRIST

-TOP FOOT is in front of the bottom ankle

🔑Quiet NASAL INHALE and ROLL BACKWARD WITHOUT letting the bottom outside knee contact and base of your bottom wrist come off the ground

-As you softly mouth exhale, ROLL FORWARD

💥This is an extremely SUBTLE roll!!!

-Practice: 2-3rds x 12rolls/each side x 1-2x DAILY

 

Notice how you move and feel afterward. Lighter? Looser? Any different at all?
