Our MOBILITY is important for A LOT of reasons as we age. Not only for our longevity…helping us to be more “able” or capable to live our life. But it’s also important from an EXERCISE standpoint. We get more bang for our efforts and exercising just becomes SAFER and MORE EFFECTIVE.

And that’s especially true when training our ABS. Conventional, core training usually beats up our backs and causes low back pain…and obviously we don’t want that!

So, what I have for you today is an amazing strategy to train our ABS. Offering more of what we want out of our training and definitely less of what we don’t want…LOW BACK PAIN!

🔑Before moving on with today’s strategy, train with these two versions FIRST:

Feel good about it…be confident about your technique…and once you’ve achieved BOSS status…try today’s SMART PROGRESSION.

Here’s what you’re gonna need:

-Clear/Comfortable/Quiet space

-Something for your head/neck

-Exercise Ball (55 centimeters)

-Timer

Check out my video below. Sound ON!  🔊

Here’s what you’re gonna do:

-Lie on your back

💥 WEIGHT-BEAR on 4 POINTS

1) Your back boney points (Think waistband of your pants)

2) Space between your shoulder blades

-Place the ball between your thighs and hands

-Apply gentle pressure (3-4/10) to the ball

🫁 BREATHING SEQUENCE:-Slow, Silent Nasal INHALE (4-6 count): You SHOULDN’T hear yourself!-Open, Relaxed Mouth Sighing EXHALE (4-6 count): Slow. Long. Easy. Relaxed. Soft.

Hold this position as demonstrated and breathe: 2-3rds x 1-3 minutes.

Notice how your lower back feels afterward. Feel your abs working?

💡REMEMBER…if we want to move and feel better as we age, we need to reset our bodies with a SMART DAILY PRACTICE.

Dedicated to your health and longevity,

Mike
