Just Relax…Your FEET!

If you’re tight and stiff…like all over…and struggle with persistent pain, I want to share with you today a strategy that can help reset your body so you can move and feel better. And it’s all about caring for our FEET.

 

Our feet are most telling when it comes to our structure…how we’re built as well as how we walk and move in our daily life.

 

Now, the structure of our feet (which is no different than the rest of our body) will limit our mobility or not. As with all things related to the human body…it just DEPENDS;)

 

Are we putting too much force into the ground or not enough? And because of that, our body weight can shift forward, backward, downward, and/or out to the sides, and our feet will respond accordingly.

 

The solution isn’t about strengthening our foot muscles but changing our unique “movement strategy” that got us here in the first place. (Think RESETS!)

 

With all that, today’s strategy just feels great, like a massage, and will help the muscles of our foot just relax.

 

Remember, like any strategy in order to move and feel better, this is not a permanent fix, but a great start to easing our unique body tensions.

 

Here’s what you’re gonna need:

🔑 Clear/Comfortable space

🪑 Something to sit on 

🎾 Tennis or Lacrosse ball



Here’s what you’re gonna do as demonstrated:

-Start with the ball in front of your heel

✔️EASILY (1 out of 10 effort) roll the ball towards your pinky toe, then back to the heel SLOWLY (3/4 out of 10 effort)

✔️EASILY roll the ball towards your middle toes, then back to your heel SLOWLY

✔️EASILY roll the ball towards your big toe, then back to your heel SLOWLY

 

REPEAT this pattern for 1-5 mins/each foot DAILY

 

Now stand up…go for a walk. How do you feel? Maybe more grounded than before? 

 

💡REMEMBER…if we want to move and feel better as we age, we need to reset our bodies with a SMART DAILY PRACTICEREAL CHANGE takes time and consistency.
